The local skate park at Bonny Hills is popular with teenagers and, in the summer, surf schools operate from Rainbow Beach.
Lake Cathie is 5 minutes drive north of Bonny Hills. In the summer school holidays, the kids will have great water fun with the floating Bounce-Balance-Slide and the spinning Rockit. Electric barbecues, childrens' play area and canoes for hire provide entertainment for all. The Lake Cathie Bowling Club is good for family dining.
The villages of Laurieton, North Haven and Dunbogan are 10 minutes south of Bonny Hills. Enjoy safe family swimming at Pilot Beach or surf at Grants Beach. Visit the Plaza Cinema in Laurieton, dine at the North Haven Bowling Club, the Laurieton Club or at one of the many cafes and restaurants.
